Lifesaving Society and First Aid Instructor – Contract Position

About Us:
We are Manitoba’s leading swim school, dedicated to equipping individuals with essential lifesaving skills. We are currently seeking a certified and experienced Lifesaving Society and First Aid Instructor to join our team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on the community by teaching critical lifesaving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Lifesaving Society and First Aid courses to individuals and groups of varying ages and experience levels.
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons, demonstrating effective teaching techniques and promoting a safe learning environment.
• Ensure that all participants understand and can apply the skills learned in both theory and practical settings.
• Administer and evaluate written and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to students.
• Maintain accurate course records and report any incidents or concerns in a timely manner.
• Stay updated on the latest program updates related to First Aid and Lifesaving.
Qualifications:
• Current Lifesaving Society Instructor certification
• Current First Aid Instructor certification
• Current Standard First Aid certification
• Current Bronze Cross or National Lifeguard certification
• Previous experience teaching First Aid, and or Lifesaving Society Bronze Star, Medallion, and Cross courses is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students of various ages and backgrounds.
• Passion for safety and teaching others lifesaving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends (as required by course schedules).
