Lifesaving Society – Swim for Life Instructor

The Swim for Life Instructor program is a 24-hour course that trains participants to teach the Swim for Life and Swim Patrol Programs.

This program includes classroom and water activities- 100% attendance and participation are required.

NO CLASS NOVEMBER 17, 2026

Completion Criteria:

Attend and participate in 100% of the course.
Successfully demonstrate competency in required skills, activities and final evaluation.
Prerequisites:
15 years of age first day of course
Bronze Cross by the first day of the course

Swim for Life Instructor Kit
Canadian Lifesaving Manual
1 Whistle (recommended Fox 40)
Awards are mailed to successful participants by the Lifesaving Society. Certification of this award is for 2 years.
