Swim for Life Instructor Course

Hello!

If you are interested in becoming a swimming instructor and live in or near Brandon, Manitoba, then this course will be for you!

Candidates must have a Bronze Cross certification (does not need to be current) and be at least 15 years of age.

This course is 24 hours long and candidates will get to spend 8 hours working with actual students and learning first hand how to work with a variety of levels, ages, and abilities!

I teach kids how to swim all year round so the co-teaching dates with me are very flexible if you have a busy schedule!

Here is the schedule below of required hours:

Friday, Jan 2 – 6pm – 10pm – zoom online
Sunday, Jan 4 – 9am – 1pm
Friday, Jan 10 – 6pm – 10pm – zoom online
Sunday, Jan 11 – 9am – 1pm

Co-Teaching Dates (Select 2 dates from any of the following)
Sunday, Jan 4 – 1:30pm – 5:30pm * three spots reserved for students coming from out of town as first priority
Sunday, Jan 11 – 1:30pm – 5:30pm *three spots reserved for students coming from out of town as first priority
Monday, Jan 5 – 4pm – 8pm (4 spots)
Tuesday, Jan 6 – 4pm – 8pm (4 spots)
Monday, Jan 12 – 4pm – 8pm (4 spots)
Tuesday, Jan 13 – 4pm – 8pm (4 spots)
Monday, Jan 26 – 4pm – 8pm (4 spots)
Tuesday, Jan 27 – 4pm – 8pm (4 spots)
Sunday, Feb 1 – 1 – 5pm (4 spots)
Monday, Feb 2 – 4 – 8pm (4 spots)
Tuesday, Feb 3 – 4 – 8pm (4 spots)

The cost is $315. The textbooks are $120, however if you have a sibling who already has them, please feel free to borrow and bring those!
