Jeff Bayne Memorial Award
Financial support for aquatics training and certification
Jeff Bayne was a caring, compassionate man, always willing to help fellow instructors and lifeguards. He was a true champion of Manitoba’s aquatics community.
When he passed away in 2023, he left behind a legacy for the future of drowning prevention with a generous endowment now held at the Winnipeg Foundation.
Together with the Bayne family, we created the Jeff Bayne Memorial award, supporting those pursuing training and certification in Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid, National Lifeguard, Swim for Life Instructor and Lifesaving Instructor.
It is a true honour to carry on Jeff’s work. This ensures that his commitment to water safety and drowning prevention continues to impact the well-being and safety of Manitobans.
